By accessing or using the Website, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the Website.
We collect information about you in two ways. First, we collect personal information provided to KOMETA directly by you, such as when you place an order; authenticate an order; e-mail us; or request information from us. Second, we automatically receive information from your browser, including but not limited to your internet protocol (IP) address, information about your browser, “cookie” information.
KOMETA generally uses information provided by you to enhance your experience of the Website, to fulfill your requests for products or services, to improve our products and services, to contact you, and to gather and review statistical information.
By providing us with your details, you agree that we may send you marketing and promotional material or other information about our products and services.
We may use tracking information that is automatically sent to us to determine which areas of the Website are most (and least) popular based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page of the Website performs overall.
If you have consented by “opting in” when providing us with details, we may contact you occasionally about products and services which may be of interest to you. We will not feature third party advertisements of any kind on the Website, and will not send marketing communications on behalf of third parties.
Paddle is our online reseller and KOMETA’s Merchant of Record (MOR). In other words, Paddle is a payment gateway on the Website to manage all payments and transactions securely.
All transactions on the Website in regards to licensing our Fonts go through Paddle—in your bank statements, you will notice a transaction named “PADDLE.NET * KOMETA.XYZ” for the payments you’ve made.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. These text files can be read by these websites and help to identify you when you return to a website. Cookies can be ‘persistent’ or ‘session’ cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your computer when you have gone offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser. Cookies cannot read data off your hard drive, destroy files, or send viruses. Cookies basically avoid duplication of information.
KOMETA does not use its own cookies to recognise you when you visit the Website—apart from those used by Google and Paddle.
KOMETA endeavour to protect personal information under our control in order to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration of your information. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of any data transmitted to the Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
KOMETA will retain your information for a reasonable period as long as the law requires.
The Website may contain links to other websites that are owned and operated by third parties. Even if the third party is affiliated with us, we have no control over these linked websites, all of which have separate privacy and data collection practices.
We do not knowingly market to, collect, or maintain personal information from persons under 13 years of age. We will take appropriate measures to delete any personal information we discover to relate to persons under 13.
KOMETA reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time without notice. Any changes to KOMETA’s Policy in the future will be posted on the Website and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.
